Uniquely, I am also a City & Guilds qualified and experienced aerial installer and an independent expert on all types of satellite installations, including both Sky®, Freesat® and European multi satellite motorised systems. Why we no longer offer a television Repair Service. Over the years Televisions have become much cheaper to buy. the cost of seriving however has become much more expensive. diagnostics ,parts etc; most of the faults currently relating to TV's involve the failure of the back lights. This requires total strip down of the inside of a tv. This cannot bee done in your house safely. TV screen size has now become so large ,most now require a two person lift. the cost typically to service a box can be in the region of £200.00. they are simply uneconomical to service.
